about

The Boxing Lesson is a group of psychedelic progressive rock musicians based in Austin, TX. Currently a power trio with synthesizers performing the bass players role, they create a layered sound that usually starts minimally and builds into grand orchestrations. The band consists of founding member/songwriter Paul Waclawsky and synthesizer player Jaylinn Davidson.

Although they've been touted as space rock there is much more going on here. The slow burning songs that make up the Muerta EP are fantastically cohesive and pits the band's past against its future. Upcoming 2012 full length record produced by Chris "Frenchie" Smith (Meat Puppets, Trail of Dead, Dandy Warhols).
